ZPower batteries use a water-based chemistry that’s stable, non-flammable and safe for medical and wearable applications. You’ll never have to worry about ZPower batteries leaking toxic materials or catching fire if they’re mishandled. Lithium-ion requires extra components to monitor voltage, current and temperature in order to make batteries safe. ZPower batteries have been tested by TUV Rheinland, passing all relevant UL2054 and IEC 62133 safety requirements. As a dry battery, silver-zinc is exempt from UN38.3 and most other lithium-ion international shipping regulations.
ZPower batteries are better for the planet. They are fully recyclable and mercury-free. This is a significant improvement over lithium-ion batteries, which are classified as Universal Waste and can only be “downcycled” into lower quality materials.
